Faux retro

Congratulations to Sew Funky who was the winner of the Estelle bag draw.

Friday 13th has bought me this little purchase from the op shop this morning. 2 faux retro chip and dip bowls. You know the only thing I like better than retro is faux retro? I love that someone has gone to all that effort to pretend something is older than it is: like teenagers I guess. It's got fake cracked glaze and all.

Tonight the girls and I are getting together to sip champagne and watch the first episode of next season's Project Runway.

Woo hoo! Ok .. must away to find a littl' somethin' to put in these bowls.

  1. I am soooo envious! I wish I could be doing the same thing as you. But I have no cable and have got no girlfriends who will or can come over.

Well, you and your friends enjoy yourselves! I have to wait for the episode on youtube.

  2. Those faux retro plates call for faux retro party snacks. Devils on horseback? Sputniks? Carrot sticks with reduced cream/onion soup mix dip? Ewwww!

  3. Oh yeah, Project Runway. Watched it and recorded it, yay. Question about your blanket jacket... did you do the blanket stitching yourself? By hand? I can't think how I'm going to arrange the pattern pieces on my blanket to take advantage of it. PS We loved the cup dress!

  4. Yes, I did the blanket stitch by hand - otherwise not possible to cut the whole thing and have the grain running straight...
