LOL Yes, it's all coming back to me now.

Since I see the line drawings for your plans, the jacket seems ultra-sporty with those raglan sleeves, and there might be an interesting play on the "modern-day sports uniform of Thailand" to help decide on colors for the jacket with so many to choose from. The national flag has navy, white, and red stripes, but then there is, amazingly, no navy in your inspiration fabric.

Never mind... Then it clearly isn't meant to be. ;)Antoinettehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09398754886656482414noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3461709881987109797.post-23863540298297226752009-06-14T15:25:44.998+12:002009-06-14T15:25:44.998+12:00Sigh, yes, a few things wrong with these pants. They fit quite well out of the wash, then grow and grow and grow...

Carol P/P sewing instructor just uses her basic pant pattern and changes the style from that, because of the very issues you mention.

My basic block predates childbirth, sadly and I haven't got it right since. The burda pants were great, but I used both wool suiting and lining, so the stretch factor was tamed.

I am determined to give these another try, comparing with my burda block - but I reckon if I can lower the waist, maybe pull back the back crotch inseam a fraction I might reduce baggies on back and gappies on front.

Fingers crossed.Mary Nannahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02577449410716501317noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3461709881987109797.post-28469462424871412202009-06-14T14:46:11.266+12:002009-06-14T14:46:11.266+12:00I love the colour in your clothes and backdrop...t...I love the colour in your clothes and backdrop...take more photos here! Something's not right with those pants, but I don't have the expertise to know what it is. I went back through your blog to your Burda pants, which look really great...how do the crotch seams compare? I'm sure you have mentioned pattern drafting before...it wouldn't be hard to turn your Burda pants into a jeans pattern...basically marking a yoke and closing the back darts. Sometimes the crotch on jeans is a little higher, but the Burda pair look pretty close-fitting anyway. The waistline can also be dropped if required. Your put all the effort into getting those Burda pants fitting right, now you can use them as your base for all sorts of styles (do I sound a little preachy? Sorry.)katherine hhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17314030133556269765noreply@blogger.com
